The teacher provides research-based, differentiated instruction to improve student academic performance and support the development of mature, capable, and responsible students. Reporting to the building principal, the teacher plans and delivers standards-aligned instruction; monitors and adjusts instruction based on ongoing assessment; maintains a safe, orderly, and engaging classroom; and keeps accurate records. The teacher follows Kentucky educator ethics and professional standards, district policies, and student conduct expectations; collaborates with specialists, families, colleagues, assistants, and volunteers; participates in required meetings and committees; and pursues continuous reflection and professional learning. The teacher maintains organized plans and materials for substitutes and performs other duties assigned under Board policy.
