The mission of Russell County Schools is to increase each student's academic and social achievement to a proficient or higher level. The driving force is evident by student's scoring proficient or above & out scores the State's average. RC schools has been recognized for its excellence in academic and extracurricular activities. UCES overall KCCT Test Scores rank 15th in the State; Agriculture programs top 10 statewide in KOSSA testing; Girls golf placed 10th in State; Band placed in State Finals 2011; RC is noted top 10 of Ky 21st CCLC after school programs; and SES Honorable Mention on TELL(Teaching, Empowering, Leading, and Learning)Survey. Postsecondary and adult ed. classes are offer through the collaboration with Somerset Community, Lindsey Wilson, Eastern KY Univ. and Campbellsville Univ. These activities will collectively provide opportunities for the students of Russell County to be successful productive citizens. |
