The Muhlenberg County School System serves over 4300 students from Preschool through Grade 12. There are five elementary schools, one middle schools, one high school, an alternative school that serves middle and high school students, and a technology center. We also partner with the Muhlenberg County Career Center in providing education and career training for our students. We are a district committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Assistant Principal Description of Duties include but are not limited to:
Provides effective instructional leadership within the school. Conducts teacher/staff meetings. Establishes and maintains favorable relationships with local community groups and individuals to foster understanding and to solicit support for overall school goals and programs; to interpret board policies and administrative directives, and to discuss and resolve individual student problems. Evaluates educational programs to insure conformity to state and school board standards and to assist the implementation of curricula in accordance with Kentucky's Curriculum. Keeps updated on appropriate research-based instruction strategies and processes by attending professional meetings and by reading of professional journals and other publications. Assists principal in supervision and selection of school personnel. |
