After graduation, many students go on to college or technical training schools; others go immediately into full-time jobs. |

Outreach Consultant/Teacher position in the Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative (KVEC) in the Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative area. |
| Description |
Provides statewide outreach consultation, assessment services, professional development opportunities and support for children, families, district personnel, and community members for the KVEC/Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative area. Provides consultation and technical assistance to district staff, attends Admissions and Release Committee meetings, and partners with Vocational Rehabilitation. Mentors students enrolled in and recent graduates of the UK TVI personnel preparation program, assists with age-appropriate transition planning, assists with district evaluation process, and provides assessments such as Functional Vision Assessment and Learning Media Assessments. Provides or recommends resources/materials for families and other providers; collaborates with child’s other service providers such as speech therapist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, etc. or assists other consultants in their educational cooperatives. Perform other duties as assigned. |
