Washington County schools are located in one of the most beautiful and historic counties in the state. All schools met their drop out reduction goals set by the state. The Mission statement for Washington County Schools is: In partnership with parents and the community, shall challenge, inspire, and nurture each student to be academically prepared for higher education,advanced technical training, the workforce and to become responsible citizens with a strong work ethic. The District Comprehensive Improvement Plan, which was recently revised, continues to provide guidance and direction for our district. Four schools serve our district - North Washington Elementary(PK-8), Washington County Elementary (PK-5), Washington County Middle School (6-8), and Washington County High School(9-12). Our College and Career Readiness initiative focuses on exposing students to a rigorous curricula and college -level work. "CommandingExcellence For All" is reflected in all we do. |

| Description |
Washington County Schools are seeking an individual with valid certification for Dean of Instruction. Qualified candidates will need a valid teaching certificate as well as master's degree and minimum of (5) years' experience in teaching. To serve as an instructional leader who works closely with the instructional supervisor, principal and teacher leaders to manage, support, and guide faculty in a way that strengthens instruction throughout the school and district. The Dean of Instruction will provide leadership on issues of curriculum, instruction, formative assessment, and professional learning. The Dean of Instruction will coach teachers and build relationships to help create a positive and supportive learning community. By serving as a member of the district’s Instructional Support Team, the Dean of Instruction will meet regularly with other instructional leaders throughout the district in order to ensure ongoing district implementation and support. |
