The mission of Russell County Schools is to increase each student's academic and social achievement to a proficient or higher level. The driving force is evident by student's scoring proficient or above & out scores the State's average. RC schools has been recognized for its excellence in academic and extracurricular activities. UCES overall KCCT Test Scores rank 15th in the State; Agriculture programs top 10 statewide in KOSSA testing; Girls golf placed 10th in State; Band placed in State Finals 2011; RC is noted top 10 of Ky 21st CCLC after school programs; and SES Honorable Mention on TELL(Teaching, Empowering, Leading, and Learning)Survey. Postsecondary and adult ed. classes are offer through the collaboration with Somerset Community, Lindsey Wilson, Eastern KY Univ. and Campbellsville Univ. These activities will collectively provide opportunities for the students of Russell County to be successful productive citizens. |

QUALIFICATION:
• Must hold a valid Kentucky Principal Certificate/Principal’s Statement of Eligibility in the area stated above.
• Have knowledge in high school curriculum and scheduling.
• Have the ability to implement different teaching/learning strategies to meet individual student differences.
• Must implement curriculum to increase Postsecondary Readiness, KSA, SAT, Alternate KY Summative Assessment, ACCESS scores and CTE End-of-Program Assessment.
• Must have knowledge/implementation of Kentucky Academy Standards in ELA, Math. Science, and Social Studies to participate in PD training sessions in implementation of Kentucky Academy Standards.
• Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
• Have the ability to implement job description including KY Teaching Standards.
• Must have knowledge/Implementation to Chair ARC and 504 meetings.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of Certified and Classified evaluation process. |
