The Eminence Independent School District was established
in 1901. By today's standards, we are one of the smallest school districts in the state. However, we feel this is an advantage where small class size translates into individualized attention at all levels. Our students have historically displayed a tradition of high academic achievement and they are very successful in colleges and universities, as well as the world of work. We believe it is a great place to live, work,and receive a quality education. The Eminence Schools are recognized regionally and nationally for outstanding innovation in education. We have a comprehensive early childhood program with Early Head Start, Head Start, preschool, and all day kindergarten. Our district is in the process of becoming a national model literacy site, we are one of five affiliate sites for innovation, and proudly claims the 7th highest ACT scores of all districts in Kentucky!
