QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate certification from the state department of education; ability to maintain good rapport and communication with students, faculty, and parents; ability to plan and organize to maximize an effective use of time; respect confidential information as it relates to the student; regular and efficnet documentation
JOB GOAL: To develop a process and procedure for planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive developmental program of guidance and counseling.
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
Provide a developmental, preventive guidance program to all students within the school which promotes the social/emotional/mental health necessary for academic success, self-sufficiency and responsible group membership.
Plan and facilitate short-term individual counseling and structured small group counseling to address mental, physical, and emotional barriers to learning and to help each child. |
