The Whitley Co. School District, established in 1818, serves students in preschool through grade 12. The schools include one primary, one intermediate, five elementary, one middle, one high and one alternative school. The district continues to grow and prosper bringing the latest technology, resources, and facilities to our community. Recently, new construction projects have been completed including the addition of a Freshman Wing to the High School. Also, our district is the top 12th Highest Performing School District in Ky. as measured by the state assessment. Our high school was recognized by U.S News & World Report’s as being Among the Best High Schools in the Nation. We are proud of our students, staff, and parents as we continue to maintain high academic standards and remain in the forefront of educational practice.
