Organization Information The Daviess County Public Schools district serves approximately 11,000 students from preschool to grade 12. DCPS has 12 elementary schools, three middle schools and two traditional high schools. Alternative programs include Heritage Park High School, Owensboro Treatment Center and RiverValley. High academic standards and outstanding students, teachers, parents, board members and community have earned DCPS recognition across the state and nation. DCPS is committed to excellence in teaching and learning with a goal of preparing students to succeed for life by meeting the individual needs of students; ensuring quality instruction; and developing a learning community. DCPS has been recognized as a leader in education innovation. Our high schools are participating in the Community Campus program, incorporating postsecondary and workforce environments as part of the high school experience.
