Carter County enrolls appoximately 4,000 students in six elementary, two middle, two high and one Career and Technical school.
The Carter County School System is committed to ensuring that our students receive a quality education, second to none. We believe that such an effort is the shared responsibility of school, family, and community and that it takes a team effort to bring about the change that will lead our schools to the top. Across our district, and in our communities, students hold the power to create a better today and a brighter tomorrow.
The journey to success includes many new initiatives and research-based instructional strategies that have been implemented in our schools. The individual needs of students must be met before learning can take place and our district has the processes in place to address those needs.
