The Hickman County school district may be considered a small district with a long history of academic excellence, student achievement and community involvement. Improving facilities, equipment, curriculum and instructional strategies allows the district to meet or exceed the responsibility to students, their parents and the community. | Description |
The candidate should have district administrative experience and the ability to communicate with the staff and community. The candidate should possess strong morals, ethics and integrity. Skills in budgeting, school finances, buildings and grounds, and a working knowledge of the KY Education System are required. Must hold or be eligible for KY superintendent’s certification. Hickman County is located in Western Kentucky, approximately 50 miles West of Paducah and serves students in grades preschool through 12. The student population of approximately 750 is housed in two schools. Interested candidates must submit:1)Letter of Interest; 2)Resume; 3)District Application 4)Copy of KY Superintendent Certification or Letter of Verification from the EPSB that the candidate will be eligible to hold the position at the time of hire; 5) The names, addresses and phone numbers (home and work) of five professional references; 6)Written responses to the set of questions listed on the application. |
